This is the home of the Android on SMARC space. From these links you will find quick instructions for getting Android running on these SMARC development boards.
SMARC Development Boards:
Is there somewhere I can download an android image? I do have the T335X evaluation kit but I don't have the pre-installed SD available anymore.
I will update the android document this week.
Am having trouble with building and deploying Android per these instructions.
make -j4 BUILD_TARGET_DEVICE=emmc 2>&1 | tee build1-1.log
make -j4 BUILD_TARGET_DEVICE=emmc 2>&1 | tee build1-1.
I copy images to USB drive.
Then I attempt to write eMMC on SMARC card (EVK-STD-CARRIER, SMARC-FiMX6-U-1G, using "Use a Ubuntu 14.04 Bootable SD card")
At boot I see following on Ser3
BOOT_SEL Detected: OFF ON ON, Load zImage from Module eMMC Flash...
Hit any key to stop autoboot: 0
Failed to mount ext2 filesystem...
** Unrecognized filesystem type **
Importing environment from mmc (uEnv.txt)...
## Info: input data size = 4789 = 0x12B5
## Error: "uenvcmd" not defined
Booting from mmc ...
Bad Linux ARM zImage magic!
Does this failure seem familiar?
You need to update u-boot that built from Android as well. Copy that u-boot.imx into the first vfat partition of your bootable SD card. Stop at u-boot command prompt and run
U-Boot# mmc rescan; mmc dev; load mmc 0:1 0x10800000 u-boot.imx; sf probe; sleep 2; sf erase 0 0xc0000; sf write 0x10800000 0x400 80000
After that, you will be fine.
